Aloha's Ears Update - YES there are news

Finally I got a picture of this : "no pics please ear"!

 

When ❀Aloha has an ear up her right one is the one which is most often up- but the other ear gave a winky winky today too. Usually when I try to photograph a standing ear it suddenly plops down same time when I my camera App opens, or my battery is to low- apart from having to less light in this unfriendly weather conditions here.

But have a look yourself.



So- there might be some ear updates recomming :-)

Bruno Icobet and the merle gang head for the title in Romania got talent - Romanii au talent

Bruno Icobet, a sympathetic 50 year old consultant is on stage in romania. He is one of the 3 last competitors in the all over the world known casting show: "Country" got talent. He is doing this in favor of our sport discdogginng. A sport convincive with atheleticism and team work between human and dog. He achieved the finals with his 3 Border Collies "the merle gang" in the nationwide live casting show in a country which is - let me say- not famous for animal welfare.

Romania got talent- Romanii au talent

Hey Bruno! Congrats for making it to the finals in the nationwide casting show Romania got talent- Romanii au talent! I know you started in the casting show to spread the love for disc dogging in Romania- as we discdoggers say: to spread the disc dog bug.

2012 for me was the year I decided it was time to bring this sport in Romania. I had many demonstrations, I attended events, did a lot of live shows and in one of them I had the pleasure to have as Special Guest +Apryl Lea and +Ron Watson by G+ hangout. All these culminated with our participation at this show with the largest audience in Romania .

And now we are in the Romania’s Got Talent Final which will be tomorrow night starting at 20:30 GMT +3

Your show doesn’t only show that dogs can be athletes and dog handlers can obviously look fashionably- but it shows love for dogs. You are not pushing Ozzy, J and Blue beyond their limits.

You are pushing the television audience and the judges at the casting show minds beyond their boundaries.

Well after two weeks of training, not to mention the last two months to bring my team in shape, thousands of hands that have petted, we are tired -mentally. What I will do tomorrow night, is to rely on their attention on me, I will not have discs in hand, it will be a dogdancing routine, unfamiliar area to me, I will communicate with Blue Ozzie and J only with my hands and no word out. The message I want to convey is Canine Education, which is very neglected in Romania.

Can you tell what your biggest fear is for the live show tomorrow?
My biggest fear is lack of attention of the boys (Blue and Ozzie) on me, because J is in season. [if a feminine dog is “in season” she is withdrawable for male companions: Wow Bruno you are raising the bar very high! ] It would have been very easy to remove "J" from the show, but we are a team in any conditions. We go together and show. Imagine two boys and a girls in season on the stage!

What is your biggest wish for tomorrows appearance at the live show?

My biggest wish is to do the show like a magic, to connect thousands of peoples with their dogs, to tell them YOU CAN DO IT!

Tinka- long time ago I had such a colourful sun in the eyes foto of Tinka!

I love his natural eyeliner- and of course his colourful eyes!

Aloha has more than one colour in her eyes, too... and I am pretty sure the colour will stay as it is :-)

And ears? Well I saw some ears up ... yeah I know- but not very often- so another 2 ears down day!

Das sind die mehr oder weniger ersten Hits, die bei Google mit den Suchworten "welpe wie lange spazieren" auftauchen.
Was ist eure Meinung dazu? ❀Aloha 4 Monate alt mit 20 Minuten AM TAG insgesamt "draußen" zu beschäftigen ist völlig außerhalb meines Verständnisses. Manchmal macht sie erst groß nach 23 Minuten- und dann? Dürfte sie demnach den ganzen Tag nicht mehr raus? Ebenso halte ich aus dem Auto (Kofferraum)  springen für eine noch zu große Belastung.  Und wie ist dieses "spazieren gehen" definiert?
Bei unseren Gängen - ich fahre wirklich bisher konsequent irgendwo hin wo sie dann rennen darf, da legt sie sich selbst oft genug ab, wenn sie sieht das es außerhalb ihrer Möglichkeiten ist- zu schnell zu weit, etc. Meiner Intuition nach dürfte sie auch mit joggen kommen. Nur eine mini 2,5 km Runde - ohne Zug natürlich. Was meint ihr? Klar 9 Wochen alte Welpen sind noch nicht ganz so langbeinig und koordiniert wie meine 4 Monate alte BC Hündin die hier mit Sparring- Partner tobt, aber ich hätte gerne mal so eure Meinung dazu :-)

Aloha fängt mittlerweile an mal die Treppen alleine zu gehen, einerseits kann ich meiner Nachbarin nicht die mittlerweile ca.10kg Hund zumuten, andererseits  um Muskeln und Sehnen langsam zu stärken. Wobei ❀Aloha hoch öfter laufen darf, runter Laufen ist noch an 2 Händen abzählbar.

Today we were meeting (human) family and the borders were allowed to do their border thing with the boys. And now: tired!
But this allowed to catch a nice yin and yang photo from Aloha with Tinka. Btw. a mixed ears day.

Ears go up, stay down, one, or two... ha. but never to be captured.
I couldn't stand to write another post full of- ears anywhere but not on a photo.. ;-) We had bad weather again, so for a decent pic I need more than my mobile phone :-)

and again- she is growig into her ears- her right one a bit higher than her left one- last week it was a whole 2 ears down week!

Today my cam went with us and I had some time to go through the pics, too.

Thank you for your concern about Aloha and apparently for reading the blog! Don't worry she is doing perfectly fine!

While the Borders were running around and around and around me, I lent on a tree trying to capture them- Tinka instead photobombed and wanted to be No. 1 motive. Okay: I listen to my dogs: here you go ;-)

First Meal Out of a Disc!

Puppy had today her first out-of-a-disc served food! ;D
She is doing great here at the competition. She is very fond of flying discs and gets aroused very fast, but finds rest in her kennel. Not easy yet. But quite good and hey- its her very first day at a competition!
So you find today a foto of her first meal out if a disc attached! Tinka is behaving good and Tabasco - HE ROCKED!
My goal was : "please not this year the last place open again!" We'll I am more than satisfied we got a 4 th place overall at our first tournament this year! QUALIFICATION! AND first place Toss & Catch only! Yahaaw! With the new rules without in the air! Well when people forced me to go in front to get my price I had to ask :"What for?" Because of the non stop rain the award ceremony was held at a camper without good accustic. Well done super dog Tabasco!!!

I am not only missing movement upwards no, bye now she has 2 teeth missing!
I thought about Tricktraining her to whistle but- we'll you know. She would have a hard time when the next missing tooth would change the whole trick ;)

This weekend we will go to our first competition. All three dogs, ✯ Tabasco starting ♥ Tinka and ❀ Aloha for company and training. It is not only the first Discdog competition this year I will go to, but a qualifier as well and a lot of great players and friends will start! So I hope I can focus on having fun instead of moaning about having had so less chance to train. We will see!

A lot European friends which were attending the super fun AWI European Championships last year will be there and Moreno already told me the "mirtillno" after the recipe of "nonna" is ready. And "mirtillno is no light" so trying this will be fun anyway ;)
Oh I am so looking forward to meet DiscDog family again! And sure Tabasco is keen to stretch his legs on a good green field!

2ears - folded

Still same ears as the days before. I caught a glimpse of 2 ears up and some seconds of one ear up. Her right ear seems a bit firmer on the lower half than her right one. But still 2 ears down. Just when I thought today about making 2 day posts one ear stood up. Ah - she is keen to have her each day updates.

Still 2 ears down, but both of them one at a time stood up today.
She is growing - on different sides at different times. Many days I could say: "ugh the nose is longer than in the morning" And the last 2 days: her ears where growing, I am sure.

Today her front legs got a bit longer as well, so she is a bit more even when standing upright now.

While running she nearly seems to be proportional balancedHere you can see how tall she is in comparison to Tabasco.

As you can imagine not only the appearance of this puppy is developing, her ego os growing as well.

Thank you for your condolence for Ernie. I am sorry Christi, I wish I had better news. I know you where sending lots of positive vibes to him.

The daffodil which grew far away from the next estate (post before yesterday if I am not mistaken) has been stolen: broken - not cut off.

Today: still 2 down, but her right ear seems to be a bit higher and more bend down instead of folded down as her left ear is.

In the morning she had 1 ear up

but decided fast to switch for rest of the day to : 2 ears down! That's a Change.

Here is a little 25 sec video of Aloha on trees from yesterday.

I wanted to start some balance training with her, but she just did her own way!

In the morning we didn't find a hedgehog, but a daffodil! Growing some km away from the next estate.

Ernie, as I decided to call the hedgehog, was at the vet today. Hopefully some rest will be enough for him- so he moved in the garden of my neighbours, has some fresh water and kitten kibble. I have to say I am afraid of him. He is nearly not moving at all, and when put down he even doesn't roll to stay on his feet- he just stays as he was put down.

But in the evening when I came back from work ( he was still at my place) he was in the water bowl. So he must have moved there. Hopefully to be outside again in a calm place will help him.

Please send positive thoughts to little Ernie. Hopefully he will get better soon!

A hedgehog found

A hedgehog found at daytime which doesn't roll in is in trouble. I saw him 8 pm tryed to give him some water and in water mashed puppy kibble but hmm- what to do? 11 p.m. I returned, packed him into a big box and now he is sleeping in the near of a radiator. Hopefully he will eat some puppy kibble or scrambled egg so he doesn't have to see the vet tomorrow.
